Magic that works in harmony with natural forces, transforming them as little as possible.
The Natural collection represents a Virdictum spellcasting tradition rooted in deep harmony with the living world. Practitioners do not seek to dominate or radically reshape natural forces. Instead, they work through affinity and sympathy — forming relationships with wind, root, stone, and beast so that magic flows along paths already present in nature. When a Natural caster calls, the raw, untamed forces of the world answer — not because they are commanded, but because they recognize a kindred spirit who moves in harmony with them.
A Natural caster respects the integrity of the world. They transform natural forces only when necessary, and even then they strive to do so with the lightest possible touch. Their magic often manifests as guidance rather than command: encouraging growth, directing weather, soothing beasts, or drawing strength from the land without exhausting it.
This tradition requires patience, attentiveness, and a genuine respect for the independent life of the natural world. Those who practice it well are not masters of nature, but partners with it — and nature, in turn, lends them its strength more readily than it does to those who would bend it to their will.
